DON’T TREAD ON ME – This iconic symbol of the American Revolution, flew across the 13 colonies in various colors and designs. It represented the colonies' fight for freedom against British tyranny. The rattlesnake on the flag symbolized a warning: "If you tread on us, we will defend our land." Today, the flag continues to represent the enduring struggle for freedom for all Americans, regardless of race, color, or creed.
The DTOM print features the famous rattlesnake with 13 rattles, representing the original 13 colonies. In the background are 25 notable quotes from the Revolutionary era. At the bottom of the print is one of the most powerful lines from the Declaration of Independence: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.”
